In the very beginning, before anything existed, God created the heavens and the earth.

On the first day, God created light and separated it from darkness.
On the second day, God made the sky.
On the third day, God created land, oceans, plants, and trees.
On the fourth day, God created the sun, moon, and stars.
On the fifth day, God created birds in the sky and fish in the sea.
On the sixth day, God created animals and people.

God made people special because we are created in His image. That means we can love, think, create, and have a relationship with Him.

When God finished creating everything, He saw that it was very good.

This reminds us that:

  • God is powerful

  • God is creative

  • God loves His creation
